As pioneers of the new Urban Afrobeat sound, Madd Family seamlessly fuse the sounds and flavours of their native Kenya with the Western influenced rhythms of Dancehall and Hip Hop. Bringing the cultural sensibilities of their African roots to a new global audience, Madd Family deliver their lyrical message in three different languages (English, Swahili and Giriama) and have collaborated with artists from a wide range of musical and cultural spheres.

The release of their Madd Prophecy’ album has seen the band reaching their creative and commercial peak. The album has proved a major hit in both Europe and Africa and has now sold out of it’s original pressing with a Special Edition repress due for release in 2009. The band have gone on to perform a number of high profile dates in support of the `Madd Prophecy’ album.
